Hôtel Droog
Situated in five historic buildings, Hôtel Droog is more a labyrinth than just a simply beautiful building. Each of the spaces have their own unique character, but all reflect the design sensibility that Droog brings.
Cafe Droog
At your service!
Under the careful supervision of Berend Striks’ interpretation of ‘De Staalmeesters’ (originally painted by Rembrandt), you’ll find the cafe of Hôtel Droog. Cafe Droog is open every day from 9am until 7pm. Outside these hours, the cafe is also to hire for presentations, debates, dinners, receptions etc. There’s a large white screen and beamer available with a supporting sound system and mics. Unlike any other space, this room feeds creativity.
Courtyard
Are you in or are you out?
The Courtyard is a room in which you can experience the feeling of being outside. Birds are flying over, making it seem as if the light behind the canal houses window frames continue. The huge amount of light that shines through the windows provides a spatial feeling and perfectly suits company presentations, press releases, inspirational meetings or even a picnic. The room has three large tv screens for use to promote your brand or perhaps show a film.Fairy Tale Garden
Get lost!
The centerpiece of Hôtel Droog is the enchanting Fairy Tale Garden, designed by Claude Pasquer and Corinne Détroyat. Sit down in the giant wooden mushroom and go off-line! This partly artificial garden takes away any stress and provides an ideal place to take a break between a meeting or presentation. While the garden cannot be reserved exclusively; it is possible to use the garden for a photo shoot or a break-out space in addition to renting another space.
Library
Get inspired!
Every descent hotel should have a library The “books” in the library at Hôtel Droog are classic novels that were never written. Our blank paged books can be used to document inspiration during any meeting or company presentation. The flowered wallpaper based on a painting in the Rijksmuseum adds a cosy atmosphere to the room. The library is also an ideal space to reserve for a private dinner. The ‘Table Blanche’ o can have a seat on one of our bright yellow Revolt chairs.
